Helene Goupil is one of the founders of Missionlocal.org. She helped create the website in the fall of 2008 and is now working there as an editor.

She was a News 21 fellow for the Carnegie-Knight Initiative on the Future of the News. She co-authored “San Francisco: The Unknown City,” has worked for the Associated Press, and she has been published in various outlets including the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, and the L.A. Times.

She shoots and edits videos, and teaches video classes in San Francisco.
