Jennifer Preston, the first social media editor at The New York Times, is now working on The Lede, the news blog for the home page of nytimes.com. She is mixing original reporting and old-fashioned blogging with user generated content from social media platforms to report and present both breaking news and enterprise stories. Jennifer is a veteran reporter, editor and newsroom manager who joined the Times in 1995 after working at New York Newsday and The Philadelphia Daily News. She is also an adjunct professor at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
