Early-bird registration extended for ONA12

By popular demand, we’re extending our early-bird rate to the Online News Association Conference and Awards until June 20. Lock in your pass to this innovative digital journalism conference at our most affordable rate of $399 for members and $699 for non-members. The last five conferences have sold out, and we expect this year’s conference to do the same.

ONA12 programming on its way
We’ll be releasing the program for ONA12 June 14, so stay tuned to get a look at this year’s dynamic sessions and workshops. Drawing on contributions from the ONA Session Selector and the most innovative work being done in the field, the three days of sessions (Sept. 20-22) will focus on digital storytelling. You’ll walk away with tools, ideas and contacts to help you do better journalism.

Volunteers, get ready
We’re accepting applications for Stream Team volunteers until June 17. If you’ve got video skills and want discounted access to the conference, fill out this application to volunteer.

Laura Cochran, ONA12 volunteer coordinator, will be contacting selected general volunteers this week to let them know their assignments. A big thanks to all of you who will be helping out at the conference. We couldn’t do it without you.

Meet our Student Newsroom
We’re thrilled to have 20 young digital journalists from all over the world covering the conference in the Google sponsored student newsroom, guided by Co-Chairs Sara Kelly, Michelle Johnson and Curt Chandler. Check out their impressive bios.
