Hagit Bachrach

MJ Bear Fellow / Video Producer, Council on Foreign Relations

Hagit Bachrach is an award-winning multimedia journalist. At the Council on Foreign Relations, she focuses on creating news and documentary video content for CFR.org and ForeignAffairs.com. Hagit also contributes to the production and development of multimedia products ranging from CFR’s flagship interactive Crisis Guide series to slideshows, maps, and podcasts. Hagit has received two Oversees Press Club Awards and two Emmy nominations for her work on Crisis Guide: Iran and Crisis Guide: Pakistan, among multiple other recognitions. Hagit has also been chosen as one of three 2012 MJ Bear Fellows by the Online News Association. Before joining CFR.org, Hagit wrote, produced, and edited video content for CNNMoney.com and CNN, covering economic and business news at the height of the global financial crisis, and produced and edited prime-time news coverage for Galei Zahal in Israel during the al-Aqsa Intifada. Hagit has a master’s degree in international relations from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Columbia University.
