Lam Thuy Vo is a multi-platform journalist. She has worked as a producer at NPR's Planet Money and produced infographics, animations and videos for The Wall Street Journal. She has reported on various subjects — from China's property market to the 2011 Japan earthquake to the plight of Burmese refugees in New York — filing videos, photographs and words from the field. Her reporting has earned her a number of accolades including a Webby Award, a Society of American Business Editors and Writers Award and a Human Rights Press Award.
She was also a multimedia educator to numerous print journalists at the paper and gave workshops about video reporting, on-camera presentation and technical workflows in bureaus around the world, including in Dallas, Singapore, Tokyo and Hong Kong. She has also instructed multimedia workshops at Hong Kong University and has spoken at various journalism schools and panels.
