Steve Herrmann is Editor of the multiple award-winning BBC News website, a role he has held since January 2006. As Editor, he is in charge of BBC News editorial coverage online and oversees operations across the website, mobile, digital TV and on demand services. Steve also leads the overall editorial development of BBC News’ digital presence, working with BBC Future Media to develop news output on new services and platforms. Before becoming Editor, Steve was World Editor of the site for five years. Steve joined BBC News Online in 1997 just after it launched and has worked in a variety of journalistic roles, including periods in the Balkans and East Africa, since beginning his BBC career in 1985.
